Erol Tugrul has been the Executive Chef of Café Margaux for the last 7 years. Although he was born in the U.S., his mother still resides in Bavaria and his father in Turkey. Prior to performing wonders for Café Margaux, he studied under many talented International chefs while honing his skills. With this European training and upbringing, his French creations are influenced by many cultures.
Café Margaux began in 1989, adapting it's style through the years with "Creative French" cuisine. You will never find a strictly "Classical" dish on the menu, rather French basics with infusions of European, Mediterranean and Asian ideas.
Our wine list is one of the most extensive, with bottles stored in temperature controlled rooms. Of course, an exceptional Port Wine and Cognac list makes for a great finish to the meal in the New Orleans style courtyard. The philosophy of our service is to exceed the guest's expectations each visit.
This a not a goal we take lightly and is one that could never be accomplished without hard work of our exceptional staff from the kitchen to the dining room.
